If you are in love with wheels and love road trips, but haven’t touched the highest
motorable road, I think your journey is incomplete. That was a major motivational
factor for me to undertake the journey to Khardung La. Another factor that inspired
me was the celebration of two victories. My husband was at the Kargil War while
I was battling my own war with my paralysis. So, I wanted to celebrate both: his
victory at that point in time and my own victory in keeping a positive attitude
alive. That’s when this idea originated and we decided together that this is one
journey that had to be undertaken. Now, considering my disability, we needed a vehicle
that had good suspension. Also considering my co-driver Prateek’s challenge of having
his right leg reconstructed on an iron rod, the modifications we both needed for
our hand controls took up a lot of leg space. So, we also needed a vehicle that
had enough leg room. At the end of it, Tata Safari was the best choice. There’s
also another reason; I’d read Tata Safari’s slogan of “Reclaim Your Life” and realized
that the whole idea was about reclaiming my life - I wanted to redo whatever I did
prior to my paralysis. Tata Safari has been extremely supportive and helpful. I’m
very grateful. I’d like to thank them, Prateek and everyone else for being a part
of my journey. My certificate from the Limca Book of Records would have been incomplete
without them.

Hi, I am proud owner of Tata Safari Dicor 3.0 2007 Model. 1-2 weeks back we were
going on the road and our car met an accident. Guess what we were all saved due
even we had massive hit on the left hand side of the SUV. We didn''t know it had
very heavy Iron Shied behind the plastic bumper. Complete engine was safe and we
were safe and even Axel of the vehicle went inside about few inches still we were
able to drive the speechless few 70-75 km. Awesome Design of the body and massive
structure of the vehicle saved our lives...now it under renovation i will get in
next 15 days or so. Quality still exists in Tata.Keep up the good work Guys...

i own a safari 2.2vtt from april 2008 this car is amazinig this has a class in its
ride i feel really proud of it we met with major accident all the passengers were
safe and no one got even a scratch what may be the road we can cross with safari
effortless handling cost effective really good from tata safari rocks man

It was very amazing and very shocking for me when I drove this car last week.My
Brother in law is having this 2.2 VTT Safari and last week he came to me for his
personal work which was requiring our trip to Rajesthan.We started this trip in
his Safari and you won''t believe the power and pick that vehicle had deliverred
to us We had coverred around 1200 KMs in 3 days with this extreme machine and that
was just amazing and thrilling experience for me in this machine.We drove this vehicle
at top speed of 150km/hr and found it as safest vehicle on road.Now ,I have made
up my mind to buy this vehicle and will definately buy this with in few months.

CAR IS ONE OF THE BEST INDIAN SUVS. I AM OWNING THIS CAR SINCE 1.5YRS. I HAVE AN
AVERAGE RUNNING OF 2500KMS PER MONTH. IT GIVES ME THE BEST FUEL ECONOMY. MY POCKETS

My dad has a safari lx model 2008 golden colour.
We bought it from concorde showroom hyderabad and the sales representative claimed
an on road mileage of 10. but after driving for 15000 in one year we got an average
mileage of 13 which is excellent.
We went to rajasthan,mysore,ooty,madurai,rameshwaram and we got no problems. ride
is comfy smotth...... and goes on and one......!! We are really happy with the vehicle.

"We are one of the PROUD OWNERS OF TATA SAFARI DICOR (REGISTRATION NO : MH –
02 – AU – 8269, ENGINE NO : 2901679, CHASIS NO : 08769, TYPE : LX –
EURO – III), since last more than a year.
Recently, last week, my son met an accident at Panhale, Dist : Rajapur, some approx
150 kms before Goa.

Hello ,I am driving safari from 1998,since this suv is launched ,till now i change
3 safaris ,now i have 2005 but i wana buy one more coz of dicor tecnology.I dont
like any thing else then safari.Now a days i am living in surrey CANADA.but i dont
like any suv here .I just like safari and only safari.I cant imagine myself without
safari.

We recently took our Safari Dicor 2.2 to Leh from gwalior via Manali, which I suppose
is one of the toughest roads in our country. The car is amazing to drive. We covered
around 3500 km in 7 days much of the distance being in mountain terrain.
Firstly, the pickup is amazing, no matter how steep the road gets. We flew along
roads on which other cars struggled. Even at one spot we crossed a river effortlessly
in which already a scorpio and innova lay stuck.
The average is good. It returned an overall average of 10.5 for the trip, the worst
being 8.3 and best being 13.4, which I think is great.
The braking is very accurate and this safari does not sway like other cars in the
category on braking very hard, which gives a feel of safety.
Overall, an amazing car, great value for money.

it is the most amazing vehicle on the indian roads. it makes you feel like a king.
who ever sit in this vehicle can feel its awsome road presence..... it is a car
that makes u fall in love with it.... built wit 18 guage steel sheet makes it the
safest vehcile on the indian roads..... big comfortable set makes u feel like sitting
on a sofa.... the tata safari u can look into the eyes of a truck driver and drive
.... i am absolutely in love with her looks and power of 140 horses.... i am in
love with tata safari......

Excellent Indian SUV !!!! That too designed by Tata around ten years back ...Hats
Off to Tatas. A real mean machine on road. I just love this car.Thank You Tata Motors
for giving Indian customers a Jewel in automobile industry. Simply Great . Thats

Owning the TATA SAFARI 2.2VTT had been a wonderrful experience in itself. We clocked
10500 km since may08. Both Me and my wife had been driving it around Delhi city
and on highways to Punjab. Except for minute teething problem in the initial 1000km
which had been taken care in the 1st service all had been perfect.
It was pleasant surprise to see it behave like a desert camel on full tank. Kuddos
to the TATA engineers!!
Till date I went 3/4 times to the TATA workshop at Bawa Potteris Vasant , ND and
every time they had been very prompt in taking care, making me believe, people at
TATA pay especial attention for safari owners.
I found it is best at 100-110km/hr on the highways any less or more is not much
intersting. Anyone with a thirst for speed should opt for a premium sedan or might
end up cursing this beast though it can unleast speeds upto 140km/hr or more when
driven wild.

I don't own this SUV but I really like it so much. Its looks and its engine's engineering,
all and everything so beautiful and perfect. My cousin brother owns this SUV, so
I had an experience of it how its feels as a driver and passenger.
I am collecting money to buy this vehicle :-) ..... hoping one day I will own this
special vehicle....

The new Safari VX is a major improvement from my erstwhile Safari 4x4 1998 model!
i have been a Tata vehicle owner since my return from abroad in 1995 beginning with
the TATA Estate (1995), Safari (1998), Indigo VX (2004) and now the new Safari VX
(Oct 2008). I must mention here that all the four vehicles are in perfect condition
despite huge running - the Estate has crossed 2.5L, the Safari 1.5L and the Indigo
about 70K. I would fail if i did not complement Prerana Motors P Ltd for their excellent
service and being available whenever and whereever i have had a breakdow. It is
this service that makes me be loyal to TATA only.
wishing the TATA team all the best and look forward to more refinements in the SAFARi
especially its dashboard fittings etc. The AC in the new Safari is very good unlike
the earlier one ( the ESTATE and Indigo ACs are very good despite years of use..
i drive with the AC on always)

Safari is a fantastic tamed fuel efficient monster . you will love it when you actually
drive it . A great SUV to own ,comfortable reliable machine . Any one looking for
an SUV should look no further Go for Safari eyes shut . Ideally designed for the
indian road by a great Indian Company , Effort less Long drives are the best , the
vehicle can just glide over small pot holes .
Experiance the differance with the Value for money SUV .
Highly recomended SUV .

THATS AN AMAZING AND FANTASTIC CAR THATS GOING TO SWEEP THE SALES AND PUT REST OF

OF THE NEW 2.2. DICOR ITS IS PUTTING MANY EXPENSIVE SUVS TO SHAME AND TATA PROVES
IT AGAIN THAT INDIANS ARE NO LESS AND INFERIOR TO NONE.
BUT ONE ISSUE REMAINS AN ECHLIS HEEL THAT IS THE BRAKES PLS PROVIDE ABS AS AN OPTION
FOR EVEN THE BASE MODEL IE..LX ATLEAST AS AN OPTION BECAUSE PPL WHO WANTS TO BUY
A SAFARI AND AT A TIGHT BUDGET CANT EFFORT 12 LAKHS THE TOP END VERSION BUT EVEN
A POOR MAN WANTS SAFTY PLS GIVE ABS AS AN OPTION FOR LX ATLEAST ABS, AIRBAGS NOT
REQUIRED BUT ABS PREVENTS FROM GETTIN HIT, ATLEAST THAT IS A BARE MINIUMUM FOR THE
INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS YOUR VECHICLE MEETS ,YOU NEED NOT GIVE IT FREE OF COST FOR
LX CHARGE BUT PROVIDE AN OPTION AND THAT GIVES YOU AN EDGE OVER YOUR COMPITIORS

The drive is very comfortable, over all look of vehicle is like civilizied beast,as
tough as a Rihno,and you feel proud to drive this vehicle as this is the tallest

Excellent...no words to say...Gr8 job done. Exceptional power, which i thought the
old safari lacks..and the main look is that., the front appearence, uve done it..it
was skinnier and not to sync in old safari. but now it has bold face...Im sure that
it wud be a alarm bell for all counterparts like Terracan,CR-v, endeavour, ....u
have placed it right with right pricing and we get a same gadgets as in others which
were more than 13 lac mark...Truly Indian. Im proud of u. proved it again, after
indica. then..what about Tata Magna???
